I know I said we could be friends

But what a word to be!

I know I said we could be just friends

But who knows what that means

When I said that we could be friends

I meant perhaps we could get undressed

And lay together once in a while

What could be so bad about that??

Friends are friends,

and lovers are lovers

Both words give me ulcers

Words that pin your heart to the wall

Are emotional murder

Well, I said that we could be friends

To hell, perhaps we could get undressed

What could be so bad about that? Don’t tag me yet, no!
